OUR EXPERTISE

Retail design expertise runs deep at GRD. Our Designer-in-Chief, Jeff Grant, represents three generations of retail planners, fixture designers, and visual merchandising innovators. The Grant family's roots in retail fixtures date back to 1925, when craftsmanship and practical selling solutions defined the business. Jeff’s grandfather, Victor Grant, even manufactured the iconic decorative coconuts used at Hollywood's legendary Coconut Grove Night Club.

Today, Jeff brings more than three decades of hands-on experience designing, equipping, and building stores that look exceptional and perform commercially. Our team has partnered with world-class brands and organizations including Disney, Universal Studios, and the United States Olympic Committee, along with professional sports franchises such as the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Denver Broncos, and Chicago Bears.

While these high-profile projects demonstrate our capability at the highest level, our true specialty is helping independent and specialty retailers maximize every dollar invested — creating stores that attract customers, increase sales, and open on time and on budget.

Jeff is the author of Store Planning 3.0 and a frequent speaker at retail trade shows nationwide. Based in San Diego, he works directly with merchants every day — collaborating on store design, sourcing fixtures and displays, and delivering practical, experience-driven solutions that turn retail vision into measurable results.
